You're Coming to Bali!

I cannot wait to welcome and spoil you in in Bali for a week! This trip is going to be an unforgettable experience, and there's no reason to delay the magic we're creating. In fact, I like to start the trips early. I have a theory - happiness is constantly looking forward to something in your future. It can be coffee in the morning, or a 7-day 6-night week of luxury self care in Bali. You have a guaranteed spot on the latter.

Leading up to the Bali Breakthrough Retreat, I'll provide you with monthly info + inspiration. Here, you can find important information and the full email series with downloadable guides.

Please Follow the Next Important Steps

Each of these steps is designed to help you communicate and prepare for the Bali Breakthrough Retreat. Please do whatever makes you most comfortable.

  • Complete Customs Declaration
There is only one option for completing your customs form upon arriving in Bali. You must do it electronically. At the end of the form you will receive a QR code. Take a screenshot of this and you will scan it at the customs line. Complete your Customs Declaration form up to 72-hours before your arrival here.
  • Get Your Visa On Arrival (VOA)
You can get your Visa On Arrival at the airport. Or, you can apply online and receive your visa early. Either way, the cost of the visa is about $35. Online, you can pay with a card only. At the airport, you can pay with a card, or (USD or IDR) cash. Apply for your Visa on Arrival (VOA) early here.
  • Complete Your Health Declaration
There is a health declaration that declares where you have been and symptoms you have been experiencing. Complete Your Health Declaration here.

Important Travel Memo

COVID Updates:  As regulations change rapidly, I am here to keep you updated. There has recently been good news as Indonesia continues to ease restrictions. There is no longer a need for covid testing prior to flying to Indonesia, as long as you are fully vaccinated.

There is also no longer a mask mandate for outdoor activities, though you are welcome to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.

Also Important: To fly internationally, you must have at least 6-months validity on your passport.

If you are attending the Bali Breakthrough Retreat in September or October, your passport cannot expire before March or April 2025.

This is extremely important. They will not let you board your flight without meeting this requirement.

Another important note is to research requirements for countries where you have a layover, to ensure you do not need a visa for that country. For example, if you are flying through Australia and have a layover that is more than 8-hours long, you must have a transit visa. It is an inexpensive, quick fix, but you don't want to be unprepared at the airport.

If you have any questions about your flight, we're happy to help!

THE FLIGHT GUIDE

If you have already booked your flight, great! Send me the details when you get a chance. If you haven't, great! There's still plenty of time. I personally do not recommend booking a flight earlier than 90-days before your scheduled departure, unless you find a crazy deal.

Bali only has one International airport - Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS).  However, there are occasionally cheaper flight options available to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. From Jakarta, you can fly domestically to Bali. In the downloadable guide, I've also included all my travel hacks, favorite websites, and planning tips.

Note: When searching for flights be sure to check your arrival day and time. You want to arrive no later than your check-in day. Check in is at 2 PM, but if you arrive early it is no problem.

Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions regarding your flight. We can even hop on a call to make sure you're confident about your choice.

Let's Talk packing

I know you must be wanting to pack up your entire closet. Let me help you save on luggage fees with an idea of what we'll be getting into during our trip. In this month's guide, you'll find a loose itinerary and suggested packing list.

Bali is known for its tropical heat and breathtaking views. Here are some tips to consider when selecting your outfits for your trip to Bali.

  • It is hot in Bali! So, plan to wear breathable fabrics and summer looks. This is a tropical vacation. If you need to do shopping upon arrival, there will be plenty of time and opportunity for that.
  • We will have a private swimming pool in our private residence. So, if you love to swim, or hang pool side, prepare for all the swim looks you can handle. There will be plenty of down time to enjoy the luxurious digs.
  • Bali sidewalks are not for the faint hearted. On walking days, prepare to have comfortable shoes or sandals that you're ready to walk up to 2 miles in. We will never walk that long at once, but over the course of the day, it adds up.
  • We're having an all white party the last day of the trip. A fun filled evening with a photographer to capture our final night together. So, make sure you're camera ready!

Bali Breakthrough Retreat Budget

Most of your expenses are covered on the Bali Breakthrough Retreat. Here's what you will need to prepare for, and an allocated price you can expect.

Visa on Arrival

Upon landing in Indonesia, you will have to purchase a Visa on Arrival, which will cost about $35. You can pay in US dollars, Indonesian Rupiah, or with a credit or debit card.

Lunch Costs

Everyday, we will go out to my favorite restaurants in Bali together. This meal is not included and will range from $10-20 per meal. $100 will be enough for the entire trip. $150 if you add cocktails.

Alcohol

Drinks are not included in the Bali Breakthrough Retreat. I recommend buying your own bottle of liquor at the Duty Free Shopping in the airport, because liquor is more expensive in Bali.

As your guide, it's my job to make sure you land ready to go. To help with that, I've added a guide of apps to download.

There is one app you must download before arrival, the rest are merely suggestions to help you stay in touch with family, convert currency, and even order food to the villa (our Uber Eats). Get the guide to learn more about all the apps you can download for your trip to Bali.

Free Day Activities

Ready to start considering activities you can enjoy during your free day on the Bali Breakthrough Retreat? Use this guide to see available activities, and associated costs.

You do not need to schedule reservations too far in advance for most activities. However, if you want to experience my favorite facial on the island, I recommend booking that as soon as possible. I can give you all the details to book. Just send me an email, or let me know when we talk on our private call.

Vocabulary in Indonesian Bahasa

Note: You will not need to speak any Indonesian while you're here. Most people working in hospitality in Bali speak English. However, I think it's fun and respectful to learn a few words.
